The Fischer Group Builds on Solid Results for 2008 with Plans for Successful 20093/26/2009 The Fischer Group, which includes Fischer Homes and Maple Street Homes, had 2008 results that included selling and closing over 600 homes in Greater Cincinnati and expanding its reach by acquiring more than 1,600 home sites in Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus. With many homebuilders experiencing a decrease in market share in 2008, Fischer was able to improve its market share, closing one out of every four homes in the fourth quarter of 2008. In 2009, Fischer is planning to sell even more homes and expects to continue to improve market share.In 2008, Fischer expanded its reach in Greater Cincinnati, and entered Columbus for the first time. In 2009, Fischer will continue to demonstrate its confidence and commitment to expansion. Although plans are not finalized, Fischer would like to add sites in its established communities and continue to add options for homebuyers. Last month, Fischer announced its “Get Moving America” program which gives new homeowners the opportunity to get mortgage payment protection if they lose their job. They’ve received a positive response to the program and expect it will contribute to positive results in 2009. “For nearly every budget we have what you want, where you want it. We offer condos from $100,000 to executive homes over $600,000. And with interest rates at an all-time low, affordability has never been better,” said Brian Fannin, Fischer Homes’ Director of Marketing. New marketing efforts to support Fischer’s efforts are now underway. Fischer’s marketing staff have created Facebook pages for both Fischer Homes (Fischer Homes Facebook Page) and Maple Street Homes (Maple Street Homes Facebook Page). They’ve increased online exposure with more website advertising and are planning a website redesign in the spring. Fischer has also established a Twitter account (Follow Fischer On Twitter) to better engage with current and future homeowners, realtors and other contacts.
